Broad Street Ballroom
The Broad Street Ballroom is one of the premier event spaces in New York City. Located at 41 Broad Street, the Ballroom originally served as the grand entrance for Lee, Higginson & Co., a now defunct investment bank. Subsequently, it was leased by the New York Stock Exchange for use as a clearinghouse, followed by various banking institutions through the 1970s. After some sporadic occupancies, it sat unused until 2005, when the space underwent an award-winning renovation and preservation effort that restored the building to its former glory. Fluted 30-foot-high columns heighten the grandeur of the 5,700-square-foot hall, which is decorated by a fascinating 225-foot painted mural entitled "A Pageantry of the History of Commerce by Sea."
Broad Street Ballroom can satisfy the needs of any and all types of events and activities, including corporate receptions, dinners, fundraisers, award ceremonies, fashion shows, weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, auctions, screenings, concerts, seminars, and more. The venue accommodates 300 for a seated dinner, 500 in theater style, and 550 for cocktails, with ample space for circulation and buffet setup.
